Zariel Macchia, a junior at William Floyd in New York, is making her third consecutive appearance at the national final at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Macchia, the Foot Locker Northeast Regional winner, is looking to guide the Northeast girls lineup to a third consecutive team title and 14th overall in meet history after the group triumphed in 2021 at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships and again last season at the CHAMPS Sports Cross Country Championships. Macchia is a two-time All-American at the national final, securing sixth place last year after finishing 12th as a freshman in 2021.
